I was doing some research on the history of the Mustang and its body styling when I came across a picture of the 1969 Mustang Fastback. I was really taken back when I compared it to my 2006. They really nailed the look and feel of the ’69 Mustang. The 2006 model does look a little fatter but the newer “retro” look really suits the “muscle car” mantra. My friend was arguing with me about the 2006 being modeled after the 1968 Mustang. However, I win this one. It’s truly modeled after the ’69. I grew up being a Mopar addict and my dream car has always been an early 70’s 442 Olds but my love affair with the Mustang is really reaching a new level and by the time I’m done with this car the 442 olds dream will be in my rear view mirror.
