I love the Cervini concept hood for the Mustang but I promised myself that I was going to keep this build old school and do nothing to the car that doesn’t create horsepower or torque. So, the hood was out until after everything power wise has been done. Well, Cervini’s got my back big time because they’ve added a functioning ram air kit for the concept hood that will give me added horsepower! After all, what is the point of having a great looking car that looks like it can perform when there is nothing to back up the glitz?



Now I know this might not be the most affective use of dollars per horsepower gain but in the 60’s when building muscle cars was at its peak, everyone had a cowl hood or a ram air hood and if they didn’t they surely wanted one so having ram air on this Mustang will look at home and will help me keep the old school look I’m going for.

I’m also loving the fact that I can get the hood painted by Cervini. This is a newer service that they are offering and when I order my hood I’ll be taking them up on it since this is the only piece of the body that’s being replaced.
