I'm on a search for a new hood for my car. I wanted to go with something unique that you couldn't jut buy off of the shelf. So, I decided to scope out a local metal shop in my area to see if they could fab something using my stock hood. Some sort of cowl hood with a unique style. They were all excited about the opportunity. I was talking to the owner of the shop and he said that he's like to show my hood in one of their industrial exhibits this spring and if I let him use the car he'd give me a great deal.

Unfortunately a few of the drawings that he came up with didn't float my boat so I'll likely just fish out the cash for a Carbon Fiber cowl hood but for a short while it was a cool idea thinking my car might get shown off at an exhibit. Oh well, a carbon hood will help to reduce some of the weight that the new wheels added to the mix.
